Parent Information Evening – Special Education Supports

To Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of students in Grade 7 and 8 who are currently accessing Special Education supports.  YCDSB is hosting an evening in-person information session to learn more about the following topics:

• the transition process from elementary to secondary;
• the nature of Special Education programs and supports at the secondary level;
• requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), the Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) or the Certificate of Accomplishment;
• types of courses, specialized programs and post-secondary pathways available to students with identified learning needs: and
• other key information to support the transition process.
